CHARACTER DESIGN
This section primarily showcases my strongest skill: Character Design! I love telling stories through a characters visual appearance and love the challenge of making a picture show a glimpse of who they might be. Displayed below are a large variance of characters from many tales and settings, though fantasy is my favorite place to play. I aim to create designs that reflect a characters personality through strong color and shape language.
3D MODELING
Below I've put on display my favorite 3D models, some of which include custom animations. Although I am still learning more about modeling, I've found ways to implement these practices into my daily work. All textures, models. and animations are done by myself.
PORTRAITS
The portraits below are made mostly as a way to show the characters designed in a more finished light. A large number of portraits I do are for clients interested in bringing a visual to life for various text or table top RPGS, such as Dungeons and Dragons.
ILLUSTRATION
Within this section I primarily want to focus on the narrative of the piece, or design for a client. Placing the characters not in an abstract space, but interacting with their surroundings and other characters. The work of creating pieces in which characters interact with the world around them is one I strive to reach a standard of excellence in.
COMICS
Below are examples of comics I have worked on in order to show the full combination of character design and storytelling. Creating characters, placing them in a world and seeing them move throughout it. While previously the idea of making comic pages intimidated me, I have found a love for allowing the characters I create to take form in a much more cohesive space.
PIXEL ART
While working on digital projects I strive to show a variety in style and prop design. A large portion of these examples below are ready to use assets for pixel art style games! Nearly all of them have been used as assets in the Aphmau channel on Youtube
